2024 FELP Summer Camp: May 28th - July 5th

The FELP camp is a small, quality program offered to current FELP students, ages 3 to 6. It runs from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm each day. Children spend much of the morning outdoors with time to explore and play. FELP staff work at camp to ensure the quality interactions that make FELP a special place. FELP families register by completing the google form made active on March 8th.

Please note that there are limited spaces and we fill them on a first come basis as registration and payment are received per week. You can sign up for individual weeks. Children must be 3 and completely potty trained when camp begins.

Camp Information and guidelines

Registering for Camp

Complete the registration form which will be a google form sent via email to FELP families, and the payment to hold your space. All children in camp must be 3 years old and must be out of diapers. If we determine your child is not potty trained, your child may not be able to return to camp and we would not be able to guarantee a refund. This is due to the nature of the play and the time outdoors with staff, that is specific to camp and the potty training is not required for the school year. There are limited spaces available and camp fills up within hours. If you find that your child cannot attend camp due to a change in plans, we are not able to offer a refund unless we have had time and ability to fill the space. Camp is only open to FELP students.

Camp Activities

Children arrive at the playground each morning to greet teachers and friends in their group. They will move from zone to zone throughout the morning, enjoying different activities in each one. These include songs, stories and games, and art exploration. There will also be opportunities for sand and water play. Activities are planned to support the theme of the week and they may be outdoors or indoors depending on materials and weather. Children also enjoy a snack that they bring from home.

What you need

Campers should have a water bottle, bathing suit worn to school under clothes or water safe clothes, and waterproof shoes with good tread and a heel (not flip flops or crocs). They also will need a towel and to have sunscreen applied at home. Please provide a daily snack.

General Info

Children are brought to the playground by 9 am. Pick up is also on the playground by noon. They may be wet at pick up time.

Themes

Each week, there is a theme of study and fun. These themes guide the art activities and stories. Play and exploration are not limited to themes.

Forms

If health forms and up to date emergency cards are not on file in the FELP office, please be sure health forms are completed prior to camp. Weekly group lists and more detailed info will be sent home before the end of the school year.
